Documentary where David Thorpe explores his personal but universal issue as a gay man
This is definitely something to bookmark to connect with some of the films on my list to discuss and even take a closer look at in the future.

Do I Sound Gay reflects the issues many gay men face regarding their speech, especially comfort levels and anxieties around it. And, not surprising at all, if an actor “sounds gay” can affect their job prospects as pointed out in the film. Also, this is an issue of safety and survival as Dan Savage and another interview subject discuss.
I saw this documentary in the theatre with some friends a few years back. I found it’s available for streaming on Kanopy, but is also available as a streaming rental on Amazon, YouTube, AppleTV.
